Dr. Verheyden was born in
Green Bay,
WI
and moved to Bend in 2003 after completing his undergraduate and medical school training at
University
of
Wisconsin Madison,
Orthopedic Training at
Upstate
Medical
Center
in
Syracuse,
New York
and his Hand and Microsurgery Fellowship at the
University
of
Washington
in
Seattle.
He was selected as a Madison Viking Scholar, providing for travel and study for a summer in Scandanavia and
Europe.
He enjoys road and mountain biking and is an avid cross country skier. When he is not working, Dr. Verheyden spends time with his wife, an ENT physician, and their three children. Dr. Verheyden specializes in problems of the upper extremity, predominantly concentrating on problems from the elbows to the fingertips.
